Note what is missing: there is no 20GB or 50GB GigSky plan for Vietnam. The ladder stops at 10GB and then jumps to the daily packs. If you need a big bundle, this is not your brand, and Airalo's 50GB at $49.00 is where to look.
The free 100MB is the most useful thing GigSky does and nobody else offers it
GigSky gives away 100MB valid for seven days, with no card and no trial that converts into a subscription. On a country where coverage is genuinely uneven, that is worth more than it sounds.
What we would use it for: install it alongside whatever else you buy, and use it as a diagnostic. Land, switch to the GigSky line, and see whether it connects and to what. If it holds a signal at your hotel in Ha Giang, you have learned something no comparison page can tell you.

The pattern is clean. Everywhere GigSky sells a plan, it is the cheapest or within pennies of it, with a review record nobody has raised a flag about. It simply stops selling above 10GB, and it will not tell you whose network you are on.
For a two-week trip on the coast road, that combination is close to ideal and saves you a dollar or two over Airalo. For a month of remote work, or for the Ha Giang loop, the missing information and the missing big bundle both start to matter.
The one thing GigSky will not tell you and why we still rank it second
This site's central argument is that in Vietnam the network matters, because VNPT and Viettel diverge sharply once you leave the coast. GigSky publishes nothing about its Vietnamese partner.
Third-party write-ups assert that GigSky uses Vinaphone and Viettel. GigSky's own materials do not say that, and we are not going to launder a blog claim into a fact by repeating it here. What we can say: GigSky's model has historically been direct carrier agreements rather than a broker layer, which is a reason for cautious optimism and not evidence.
How much that costs you depends entirely on your route. On the coast road it is close to irrelevant, because all three Vietnamese networks work there and GigSky is a dollar cheaper.
