Yesim undercuts everyone at 1GB and 20GB. Trustpilot has switched its rating off for a guidelines breach. We list both, every time, and let you decide.
Start with the Trustpilot problem because you would find it anyway
We link Yesim anyway, and we should say plainly why. The plan prices we publish are verifiable against the checkout, the eSIMs work, and the recurring complaint in the visible reviews is throttled "unlimited" data, which is a complaint that applies to most of this industry and which we document on the unlimited page for every brand.
What we will not do is let the cheapest column and the recommended column be the same column. Yesim wins on price at two sizes and it is not our default pick anywhere on this site, and the suspended rating is the reason.
If that is disqualifying for you, it is a reasonable position and GigSky is a dollar or two more with an intact record. If you want the cheapest 20GB in Vietnam and you are buying with open eyes, that is a reasonable position too.

The shape here is the opposite of Airalo's. Yesim is cheapest at the very bottom and the top of the ladder and uncompetitive in the middle, where most people buy. If you want 5GB or 10GB, this is the wrong brand on price as well as on record.

Two rows to buy this brand for: 1GB and the 20 to 30GB band. Everywhere else something cheaper or better-documented exists. That is a narrow case, and it is a real one, particularly for a long trip where 30GB at $1.09 a gigabyte is the second-cheapest data on the site after Airalo's 50GB.
The unlimited plan is the one we would not buy no published cap at all
Yesim's Vietnam unlimited plans are priced by the day, from $4.07 for one to $66.28 for thirty. The product page refers to a fair usage policy. It does not say what the fair usage figure is.
Compare that to what the others print. Airalo: 3GB a day, then 1 Mbps. Saily: 5GB a day. GigSky: 3.5GB a day, in the plan name. Holafly: no daily number, but a stated 1GB hotspot ceiling and a stated maximum throttle duration.
Yesim gives you a number for the price and no number for the product. On a category where the most common complaint in its own visible reviews is throttled unlimited data, that combination is the one we would avoid. If you want unlimited, the comparison page ranks the four caps, and if you want cheap data, Yesim's own fixed 20GB and 30GB plans are better value than its unlimited anyway.
If you are here for the price, buy the fixed plans and skip the unlimited one: 20GB at $25.58 or 30GB at $32.56. If the suspended rating rules Yesim out for you, GigSky is a dollar or two more with an intact record.

Why is Yesim's Trustpilot rating suspended?
Trustpilot states that the company's rating is unavailable due to a breach of its guidelines, and that it removed a number of fake reviews. The 2,942 individual reviews remain visible, but no aggregate score is shown. That is why we flag Yesim in every table on this site rather than treating it as a normal entry.
Is Yesim safe to use in Vietnam?
The eSIMs work and the prices are the ones you pay at checkout. What is missing is an independent aggregate measure of how the company behaves when something goes wrong. If that matters to you, pay a dollar or two more for GigSky or Saily. If it does not, Yesim's 20GB at $25.58 is the cheapest of its size here.

Yesim does not publish it. Only Airalo, which names VNPT, and Holafly, which names GPC Vinaphone, tell you at all. If your route goes into the northern mountains, no travel eSIM answers that question adequately and a Viettel profile is the fix.
Is Yesim unlimited capped in Vietnam?
Almost certainly, and Yesim will not say at what level. The product refers to a fair usage policy without giving a figure, which makes it the only unlimited plan in this comparison where you cannot know what you have bought. We would buy its fixed 30GB instead.
